Life at Kion: Rabee

Meet Rabee, a member of our Delivery & Support team, who talks about company culture and how he likes to unwind after a long week!

1. Tell us about your role at Kion.

I am a Senior Technical Delivery Manager on the Delivery and Support team. My primary responsibility is to guide one of our biggest and earliest customers on their cloud enablement journey. This role ranges from providing technical support to strategically interacting with leadership to accomplish the ideal compliance, security, and governance profiles.

2. How did you find Kion.

I was referred by a friend who worked here, and they vouched on how great the company is.

3. What behavior or personality trait do you most attribute your success to and why?

I love interacting with and helping people. Being able to make someone's job easier gives me great satisfaction. Having a great product on hand makes my job that much easier.

4. How do you prefer to start your day?

I love to take a walk/sit in my backyard and connect with nature (when the weather is nice) in the morning.

5. What has your experience been with our company culture?

The company culture here is better than anything else I've experienced before. I always have positive support and encouragement in carrying out my role. Besides work, there are fun activities to participate in, such as the Wellness Challenge, Cooking Classes, and more.

6. Which benefits are your favorite and why?

Our Remote-First policy. It allows me to work from home whenever I please. Being local to the office is an added benefit because I can drive in whenever I need a change of environment.

7. How have you grown professionally while on our team?

My role is a hybrid of technical support and an account manager. Working with highly skilled colleagues here, I've gained technical skills such as troubleshooting a Jenkins pipeline and business skills such as preparing and delivering detailed presentations in front of customer leadership.

8. What's your favorite Slack channel at Kion?

I can't choose one! I would have to include: 'Home-Improvement', 'film-tv-recs', and 'kion-chess-club.'

9. What keeps you busy outside of work hours?

Running outside and working on my house or car.

10. What's your favorite way to unwind after a long week?

A nice dinner with friends.
