The benefits of embracing the cloud are innumerable, and to compete in today’s market the cloud must be part of an organization’s IT approach. However, to realize improved agility and the cloud’s promised return on investment, you need an approach that encompasses the complete cloud lifecycle.
Cloud lifecycle management doesn’t dramatically change between various market segments or between public cloud providers like AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud. What’s required is an intuitive, transparent interface that supports operations from provisioning to sunsetting. What you don’t want is a piecemeal solution with separate interfaces to cover all dimensions of the lifecycle: one for cost management, one for security, etc. Pursuing many solutions is costly, time consuming, and requires a longer learning curve.
